The OH One Journey
For those who are unfamiliar with the story of our creation, let us fill you in.
How it started
OH One was the result of the Gore family.
Based in York, the three Gore brothers, James, Kent, and Matthew, wanted to create a unique health company that made a difference in people’s lives. With a background in corporate entertainment and the training provider sector, the family knew they had a lot of work cut out for them to create a cutting-edge health programme. However, they knew how imperative it was to the foundation of the health and employment sector.
Inspire to Independence
The first company that the Gore family worked to build together, Inspire to Independence was created when a prior business transaction fell through.
But with all great problems come great successes.
In the face of adversity, the family built their own business. One that could help people who were unemployed to upskill and prepare them for the job market – and thus, Inspire to Independence was born.
The company worked to deliver training and upskilling the workforce, and in a short span of time amassed 500 staff and made a £12 million turnover.
The brothers could have stopped there, but they didn’t.
From there, (OH One’s sister company) Health 2 Employment (H2E) was born.
H2E

In short, H2E is designed to break down the mental and physical health barriers that hold people back from getting a job. Everyone should be on a career path that they are happy and proud to be on. H2E works to help people to take the first step on that journey.
However, the Gore family decided that there was still a massive gap in the health and employment market – a gap that OH One filled.
OH One
OH One focuses solely on working with the employer to create a work environment that supports employees’ mental and physical health.
We run workshops, offer business health checks, physiotherapy and therapeutic support, and much more.
If you have a workplace health worry, then OH One is the place to go.
The Gore family have changed the health and employment landscape. But there’s no slowing down, there’s still much more work left to do.
